Open Drawing is a three-hour long event every Saturday which provides an opportunity for local artists and those interested in figure drawing to practice, enhance their skills, and socialize with other artists. This is a weekly walk-in event, no registration is required, just bring your drawing supplies! Please note this class is for Adults only.
The Gallery hosts figure drawing year round from 10am to 1pm Saturdays and portrait drawing sessions are held on select Wednesdays: 1pm to 4pm. Chairs are provided but we ask attendees to bring their own easels if possible. Materials are not provided. Interested artists should contact Frank at [email protected] with questions or to be added to the weekly reminder as well as any late cancellation notifications.
Join us Wednesday evenings in January for a class in figure drawing. The art of sketching the human figure helps the artists capture the essence of the human body’s musculature, texture and postures. All sessions are in person, drawing from a nude or lightly clothed model. Table top easels are provided and attendees are welcome to bring their own standing easel. Materials are not provided. There is no instructor present. We encourage artists who attend to explore the use of different materials, drawing styles and techniques. Attendees must bring appropriate cleaning materials for their wet media.
