How to Access Messages, Notifications, & Friend Requests

Access to your notifications, messages, and friend requests can be located in the header/banner menu in the top right hand corner on computer devices. For mobile devices, the features will be located in the center and can be accessed by clicking on your profile image to the left of the two horizontal lines in the header/banner menu.

The bell icon in the top right corner next to your profile image alerts you to community notifications.
Clicking the bell will show any unread community notifications. You can mark them all as read. Or you can select to only show messages you have not read. In the top left(indicated by the arrow in the photo) you can click ‘Settings’ to adjust how you receive notifications from the community.
Once you click ‘Settings’ you can setup how you would like to receive community notifications. You can disable them if you do not want to receive them. We do not recommend this as you will not know when a fellow member is trying to contact you in the community. Note: Right sidebar shown in image has been depreciated.
The envelope icon right next to the bell icon lets you know when you have a message from a community member. Tap the icon to see/read your messages.
You can view your messages or start a new message to a community member(select ‘new message’ from the top right hand corner of message notification box.
Type your message and select recipient. A list of members name will show as you start typing. If this list does not show, you may need to enter the members name completely for it to show up. *Note you will not be able to start messages to members if you have a free membership. But you will always be able to reply to any messages sent to you by any members.
Community Friend Requests can be found with the people icon in the top right hand corner next to the message/envelope icon. For mobile devices this icon will be in the center
Click the icon to view all your friend requests.
